How Sinners Came To Be

In Denver’s vibrant beauty scene, Sinners stands out — not just for its creative haircuts and bold nail art, but for its unapologetic celebration of identity. Founded by Anne Garcia, Sinners is a queer-owned, Latinx-owned, and women-owned salon that has become a safe and affirming space for clients and stylists alike.

Anne’s journey to opening Sinners began with her first location on Broadway. After years of working in traditional salons in Houston and Austin, she often felt constrained by rigid beauty standards and conservative approaches that didn’t reflect her values or the clients she wanted to serve. With a vision to create a space that celebrated individuality and queerness, Anne opened the Broadway salon. It quickly became a hub for people seeking more than just haircuts ; it was a community, a place where everyone could feel seen and affirmed.

Seeing the impact of that first location inspired Anne to expand. She wanted to reach more people and offer the same inclusive, affirming experience to a wider audience. That vision led to the opening of Sinners’ North location on Federal Boulevard. With the same commitment to inclusivity, respect, and self-expression, the second location brought Sinners’ culture and aesthetic to a new neighborhood, quickly gaining traction with a growing community of clients.

From day one, Sinners has stood on values: anti-homophobia, anti-transphobia, anti-racism, anti-sexism, and anti-fascism. Stylists specialize in everything from radical haircuts and vibrant color to intricate nail art, ensuring every client leaves with a look that expresses their unique identity. But the true heart of Sinners is its community ! A hub where queer and marginalized individuals can connect and feel a sense of belonging.

Sinners is more than a salon; it’s a statement. It represents authenticity, self-expression, and the creation of spaces where everyone is welcome. Walking through its doors isn’t just about getting a haircut or manicure. It’s about stepping into a space where identity, creativity, and community are celebrated.

In a world where conformity often dominates, Sinners reminds us that beauty isn’t just skin deep…it’s about embracing who you truly are.

We hope to see you soon!
